There is so much information on hydroponics gardening today, it is easyfor beginners to become frustrated and to feel overwhelmed. The internet does offer some excellent free materials, guides and informative articles. But if you really want to get started with your own hydroponics system, consider getting a quality book introducing the topic, first.

You might think you know a lot about hydroponics already and you definitely want to start. Perhaps you’ve researched the different techniques and explored various systems. Maybe you understand lighting and all about nutrient solutions. Odds are that until you sit down and read a quality book, there’s plenty you haven’t really considered.

What about temperature and humidity requirements? What about pests and parasites? Do you know how to hook up a pump, or how to clone plants? What if your grow lights explode? What if your system fails?

Hydroponics is very simple in some respects, but there is some basic information you should know before you invest a dime in equipment. You should start slowly and take the time to read at least one introductory book on hydroponics, if not two or three. That’s the best way to be sure you don’t waste your money on a hobby you will never really end up enjoying or pursuing.
