My colleague Belinda loves her fun but I have a feeling she has gone too far this time. She says she is tired of hanging out in pubs so she is going to make a film instead, using her pub mates as actors and their homes and public places as locations. She says she is tired of drinking ale. That’s fair enough, but what worries me is the kind of film she wants to make. She calls it a “chick flick”, whatever that may be, but when she says that she has a rather naughty glint in her eye. I think the subject matter is going to tend towards soft porn, if I may be so bold as to say so. Time will tell. Yesterday she told me she is looking at camcorders on the internet to see which will be the best one for her purposes. She has never bought one before. I told her to beware of buying electronic products at a distance, but she pooh-poohed that. Belinda is incorrigible. Anyway, she says she is looking at a site called TestFreaks - just the kind of thing I would expect her to do - and she is very satisfied with the information there. The price feature has given her a great deal of confidence in this means of acquiring new equipment. The “Best Price” for the camcorder she is considering is much less than she thought she would have to spend. Anyway, I’m not encouraging this. We (her raddled circle of friends) are still recovering from the hike in the Lake District that she managed to make us do. Belinda is a lot of fun but also very pushy. Fortunately her crazes do flag and disappear, but another soon makes its appearance.
